Abraham

Abraham will be 6 months next week and feels the need to grow up. He rolled over for the first time on Saturday or Sunday and by Wed. he was rolling all over the place. This makes me sad, I don't like them to grow up and want to be busy all the time. Then today I felt in his mouth and he has a tooth. I am not sure when it came in, probably a few days ago at least. He was not fussy so that was great. He may be a teether like Robbie was and I welcome that! We love Abraham and he is a sweet lovable little boy.

Mom Song...

I know most have heard this, but it is funny. Robbie wanted to see it and he said, "Mom, you have said most of those things to me and Kam today." I had to laugh.

Help Robbie with his science project

Robbie has to do a science project for school. He wanted to do something different from the norm...so I looked on the Internet and found one with teeth. His Uncle Ian also gave the same idea so he was hooked on the idea of putting teeth in different drinks to see how they react or decay. The dentist gave us 6 teeth that Robbie measured and tried to poke with a pin. He record all his findings and then we put each tooth in 1 oz. of different drinks. He is taking a poll to see what people think will be the worst drink for your teeth, so your opinion will help his experiment.
The choices are: Lo carb Monster drink, Diet Dr. Pepper, Dr. Pepper, Apple Juice, Orange Juice, and his controlled tooth is in a mouth wash and water solution. I think the Monster drink is the worst. Robbie, Kamren and Eric all said the Dr. Pepper. Here are some pictures of the teeth after Robbie brushed them and measured them.
I love science! ha ha ha A big thanks to Dr. Allen for the teeth and a big thanks to Uncle Ian for helping with the idea and for Uncle Creed for telling us how to do it.

Mommy...Mother....Mom

My mom sent this to me and I loved it. So I hope you enjoy it also.

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche;
they don't have time to make it.
Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils
are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors,
filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough
doesn't come out of carpets.
Real Mothers don't want to know what
the vacuum just sucked up.
Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?'
and get their answer when a little
voice says, 'Because I love you best..'
Real Mothers know that a child's growth
is not measured by height or years or grade...
It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...
The Images of Mother
4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.
16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!
35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears,
the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
because that is the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows,
and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

Surgery

Last week I had my gallbladder removed. This was not fun to think about...I don't like to be a charity case. On Tuesday morning Eric took me in to have the surgery. I was very nervous and did not want this done, but I hope that this cures some of the problems I have been having. The surgery went well and I was home by 11:30am. I was a little out of it and did not like that. Eric was a trooper and did his very best with the two little ones. Abraham does not take a bottle so that was challenging and frustrating for Eric. I don't think Eric realized how much playing, cleaning, feeding, changing, playing, holding, changing, and playing I did in a day with the two young ones. By day two I think he was so ready to go back to work, but he stuck it out and was very helpful. I am thankful for all that brought in meals and helped with David. We are so blest to live in a community that is so willing to help when needed.
I had an allergic reaction to the pain pills (I was so itchy and my eyes were all swollen) so I had to take Benadryl with it. After that I really tried to cut back on them, I cut my dose in half and went as long as I could without them. They made me a little crazy and I was not aware of what I said during those times. It was not good. I am now off of them and feel much more like myself.
My sister Kristel, Eric's sister Katie and her husband Ian came up on Friday to help. It was great to have the extra hands. Kris and her sister-in-law Tracy cleaned my home and did all the laundry...a HUGE THANK YOU TO THEM. It was nice to have that taken care of. Kris also drove me around to return pots and pans and give thank-yous to all that helped our family during this time. Katie and Ian tended to the children and that was so great. A BIG THANK YOU TO THEM!
Sunday the left and I cried and cried. I am alone now, Eric is back to work, and I am feeling a little overwhelmed. I don't like this one bit. I want to be back to myself and be able to do all that I did before. I am not very good at sitting still and just resting, but I am sure trying. With two little ones it makes it a little hard!
